First HIEA Community Open House a Success
HIEA’s first-ever Open House was held April 11 and 12 at Hamilton’s Centre Mall. The community was invited to review HIEA initiatives and to discuss individual concerns with HIEA member-company representatives and Community Advisory Panel members. Visitors learned about the progress local industry is making with air, water and waste management, and had the opportunity to voice the priorities of the local neighbourhoods. The event was highly successful with hundreds of people from local neighbourhoods visiting the HIEA display. Over 200 people provided their specific feedback by filling out a questionnaire.
